Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Shark!

"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Shark!" started out as a silly rhyme that I made up. My kids and I had fun making up verses - "Twinkle, twinkle, little Wombat! / Don't indulge in unarmed combat" etc, but it got me thinking - who would say "Twinkle, twinkle" to a shark, and why? Well, obviously somebody putting a shark to bed.

OK - that worked. Before I knew it I had a set of bedtime-themed rhymes. Thomas (about 8 at the time) came up with the rhymes for the bear and the snake. I created the illustrations and printed them out, but it wasn't quite right yet. The pictures and rhymes were fun, but they didn't tell a story. Suddenly I realised that I could put them into an order that made sense, and the final picture explained the whole thing.
